Listing this rare Volkswagen replica of a 1936 Auburn Boattail Speedster
This is a rare Lindberg Kit called the Model A 36, and was manufactured by the Lindberg Engineering Inc., and it was based around a VW Beetle chassis and drive train. This one was a yard find sitting since the early 2000’s. A quick search shows it was last titled and registered out of Florida back in 2002 and it was titled as a 1983 Volkswagen.
The tires do not hold air, but the wheels do roll, if it is winched. It does not turn easy. The key is still in the ignition. The dual seat pan is molded fiberglass, so its just sitting in the car. The front windshield is glass and the body is fiberglass. The one turn signal lens and both headlight rings and lenses are just sitting in place. One of the hood latches is missing, and only one deck lid bracket is working. The VW motor looks to be complete, but it does not spin over, which means it is locked up.
