It is powered by a 4 cylinder, 1700 cc Kent Crossflow producing approximately 140 horsepower. Induction is via twin Weber 40 side draft carbs, specifically tuned to the high-performance camshaft. The engine is designed to rev freely to 7000 RPM and is limited via a digital rev limiter, coupled to a modern electronic ignition system. Lubrication is via a race style dry sump system. The motor was built approximately 5000 miles ago by Sam Nelson of Cummings, Georgia, who is long known for superior engines. Paper documentation of the rebuild is available. Engine runs perfectly throughout the RPM range, especially when it is “on the cam”, and has always been limited to 6500 RPM. Aeroquip hoses are used throughout, and there are zero leaks. Red Line racing oil and K&N filters have been used exclusively.
