I wanted it to be a bit sportier and offer more utility. Hence the mini-truckbed, cropped bumpers, lack of showy running boards and chrome horns & exhaust pipes. It uses the Chevy Chevette engine and transmission and front and rear-end. I had the engine professionally rebuilt and it runs perfectly with a low idle. The transmission is automatic with an overdrive switch on the dash for highway cruising.
