1985 Ferrari 512BBi Spyder Replica

This is a factory vehicle built by a company called Corson. This is number 63 and one of only a handful that were spyders. As a spyder, the car has a reinforced frame to retain rigidity with the top removed. Featured on numerous Kit Car/Replica magazine back in the day.

I owned the car about 8 years ago. It’s changed hands a few times since I sold it, but was told it has a lot of upgrades to the rebuilt motor (2.8 V6) and automatic transmission. The engine fires on the first or second turn. There is a transmission fluid leak, not bad but there. Other work I was told was replaced bushings, sensors, hoses, etc. has seats by Mr. Mike, upgraded dashboard and gauges. Has drilled/slotted rotors. I would say it still needs some TLC. It has a removable soft-top, but needs new canvas and some of the support rods need to be replaced. The car is extremely loud on acceleration, it’s either straight piped and/or extremely modified. The gear shifter changed to look like a manual. It needs to be replaced it can function as-is, but a new one from Rodney Dickman would be great. The front amber lights are just vinyl wrap, it previously had actual lenses and light buckets. I haven’t driven at night, but the driver’s side headlight motor appears to be out. The A/C system is intact, but may just need freon. The body is ok, but there are dings here and there, but I don’t think it would take much to be great looker. The previous owner was going to do a lambo-style door and filled the exterior door handles. It has 17 inch wheels all around 245/45/17 ft and 275/40/17 rr (near end of life).
