This 1980 Shay Roadster is a factory-built replica of the 1929 Ford Model A

Built by Shay Motors Corporation with authorization from the Ford Motor Company, it comes with a modern Ford Pinto drivetrain with a Model A retro fiberglass body.

With the Pinto running gear, 4-speed manual transmission, independent front end, and disc brakes, I was very impressed with how well this car functions. It drives at highway speed with ease, and stops perfectly.

For a 42 year-old car, it’s in excellent condition. The paint appears to be original. The paint is presentable, but it does have some nicks, scratches, and normal stress cracking. The convertible top does not have any rips or tears, and it folds/unfolds without any problems. Included are the set of side curtains and two spare tires.

Odometer reads: 5970. Cannot verify the accuracy of the mileage. However the previous owner claimed the miles are correct.
