1974 Kelmark GT replica. It’s a deluxe kit and the fit and finish is really nice
It’s VW powered and I’m guessing close to 2.0 liters. Dual carbs and it runs like a scalded cat! I’ve just installed a Vintage Speed shifter ($700!) and boy is it the smoothest shifting car I’ve ever owned! It really is a fun, quick, tight little car. It has its quirks and minor TLC items but nothing that detracts from its fun driving factor. No disappointments with this car. It’s great around town or on the freeway.
This is a list of some of the things I’ve done since I’ve owned it. I bought it from the second owner. He purchased the engine that is in it but never installed it. Unknown CC but it has 01 heads (big valves) and an 8 dowelled crank and 40 MM old school solex carbs. I installed the engine and added the headers and NEW heater boxes. (heat kinda works LOL). I’ve had other big CC VW engines and this one runs better than my 1915!I installed new brakes all around, shoes, pads drums, lines, MC etc.. Stops FANTASTIC! All new shocks. Rears are air shocks. New stereo and 4 speakers as well as retractable antenna (straight outta the 80’s). The car was white and the red is a 3 M vinyl wrap. I sorted out some of the wiring but the fuel gage and temp gage still don’t function properly (bad ground?) Horn works intermittently so I disconnected it. I added the front “bumperettes” the graphics and the outer edging. I also installed a “quick-disconnect” steering wheel to get in and out easier. It has a new shift bushing in the rear as well as the shift coupler. I’m sure I’ve missed some things but that’s most of it. I’ve also got a very nice satin cover for the car and some lexan headlight covers I never installed.
